AIRCRAFT OWNER PROGRAM
Partner with us to keep your aircraft flying while supporting the next generation of pilots.
WHAT IS THE AIRCRAFT OWNERS PROGRAM?
The Aircraft Owners Program is a collaborative initiative that gives owners full control over how their aircraft are used while contributing directly to the next generation of pilots. Instead of traditional leasing or rentals, owners work with trusted, vetted instructors who follow customized policies set by the owner, with input from the Collective's Owner Liaison. These policies may include who can fly, under what conditions, and what types of training are allowed. The program helps reduce cost barriers for students, ensures proper care and maintenance of the aircraft, and allows owners to stay actively involved in the aviation community without giving up control.
WHY JOIN US?
Joining the Aircraft Owners Program means becoming part of a mission-driven community that values safety, mentorship, and meaningful aviation experiences. As an owner, you’ll help shape the future of flight training while keeping your aircraft active and protected. This program is designed to give you total control while providing the tools, network, and support to make aircraft ownership more sustainable and impactful.
Enjoy the full benefits of ownership with none of the hassle. Here’s what you get when you join us:
-
Keep full control of your earnings — owners keep 100% of revenue from training, with just a $10/month fee for scheduler access and Collective support.
-
Operate independently as your own club, company, or training program alongside the Pilots Collective.
-
Access our network of vetted instructors, students, and passionate pilots.
-
Get operational support including maintenance tracking and reminders through our Operations Lead.
-
Unlock potential discounts on maintenance through partnered shops and mechanics.
-
Receive help setting up your business with guidance on structuring, compliance, and tools.
-
Be part of something bigger while keeping your aircraft safe, active, and in your control.
***Note: The Pilots Collective is not a leaseback company. Aircraft remain fully owned, maintaned, and controlled by their respective owners at all times. Participation in the Aircraft Owners Program does not involve leasing or relinquishing operational authority***
HOW TO JOIN
This section walks you through how we help you go from simply owning an aircraft to actively earning with it — all without giving up control. Through a simple, guided process, we work with you to set your own terms, connect with trusted instructors, and make your aircraft a part of something bigger while keeping it protected and purpose-driven.
STEP 1. REACH OUT TO US
Send our Owner Liaison Team an email or call to get started. We’ll introduce you to the program and learn more about your aircraft and goals
STEP 2. MEET 1-ON-1
Our Owner Liaison will schedule a short call to walk through the program, answer questions, and understand your ideal setup
STEP 3. ESTABLISH POLICIES & TERMS
With guidance from our team, you'll build a clear set of usage policies — including who can fly, when, how much, and how your aircraft can be used — to help you make the most of your aircraft while maintaining safety and oversight.
STEP 4. FORM A BUSINESS ENTITY
We’ll walk you through setting up an LLC or other structure so your aircraft can be operated under a business, offering clarity, protection, and flexibility.
STEP 5. ONBOARD YOUR AIRCRAFT
Once your business is in place, the plane is up to date on maintance, and your policies are finalized, your aircraft will be added to our scheduling system with access limited to your approved pilots.
STEP 6. STAY ACTIVE & SUPPORTED
Your aircraft stays flying on your terms, backed by our Operations Lead, ongoing support, and a growing aviation community.
STEP 7. PAUSE OR EXIT IF NEEDED
If you ever need to temporarily remove your aircraft from the scheduler or exit the program, we simply ask for a 2–3 week notice to ensure instructors and students have time to adjust their plans.
MAINTENANCE TRACKING & OVERSIGHT
Once your aircraft is on our scheduler, our Operations Lead helps monitor usage, track tach and hobbs times, and keep maintenance reminders up to date. While all maintenance decisions remain in your hands, we assist with alerting you to upcoming inspections, oil changes, or required servicing based on your aircraft's time-in-service. You’ll always have final say, but never have to worry about falling behind on key maintenance timelines.
