VAFFU
VAFFU is an internationally recognized organization that provides realistic and engaging aerial firefighting simulations for pilots across the globe. While many missions are modeled after U.S.-based operations, VAFFU conducts scenarios worldwide, offering participants the opportunity to experience the challenges of wildland firefighting in diverse environments. The organization replicates real-world roles such as Air Attack, Lead Plane, and Air Tanker operations with a strong emphasis on training, safety, and immersive realism. VAFFU also supports Intellic Technologies in their efforts to assist the U.S. Forest Service and various private companies with off-season training for both pilots and Air Attack officers. Whether participants are new to VATSIM or experienced virtual aviators, VAFFU provides the tools and guidance to grow in one of aviation’s most dynamic and specialized fields.

ZULU AVIONICS
Zulu Avionics & Maintenance, located at Prescott Regional Airport, has been a trusted name in aviation since 2014. Originally founded as Zulu Aerospace Services and expanded through the 2020 acquisition of Mile High Avionics (est. 1992), Zulu has become a premier one-stop shop for avionics services in Arizona and the Southwest. With all work done in-house, they offer custom panel fabrication, full installations, and ongoing support—all backed by a deep commitment to customer satisfaction. Sarah Nilsson
Dr. Sarah Nilsson is an esteemed aviation attorney, professor, and ATP-rated pilot whose support of The Pilots Collective has been both impactful and deeply appreciated. As the founder of Nilsson Law, PLLC, she brings extensive expertise in aviation, drones, and advanced air mobility (AAM), along with a strong legal background that informs both her practice and teaching. She holds multiple FAA certifications, including CFI, CFII, MEI, and remote pilot, making her uniquely qualified in both the legal and operational aspects of aviation. Several members of our board had the privilege of learning under Dr. Nilsson during their time at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where she served as their Aviation Law professor. Her ongoing support, mentorship, and belief in our mission have made her an invaluable resource to our organization as we work to build a safer, more connected future in aviation.
